What does the military consider required reading?

As Time points out Gen. Dempsey will soon be the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and be setting the tone and direction for all military operations.  You can see the full list here.  Mr. Rawlings correctly points out the multi-faceted set of challenges a military leader must face.  Its not all just nuke em to oblivion.  Its interesting to see how the military uses different books and reading to bring out and highlight the critical skills a military leader needs.
